Support for My Dad’s Parkinson’s Care

$4,660 raised of

Our dad, Luis A Superlano, is 74 years old and has been courageously living with Parkinson’s disease. He is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University ( Class of 83 - Sociology ) and has always been someone who believes in helping others whenever possible. Two years ago, he suffered a stroke, which significantly accelerated his health challenges.
He currently lives in Venezuela, which makes it extremely difficult for my sister ( Who lives in Spain ) and me ( Living in Ohio ) to be physically present and support him the way we wish we could. Our brother is there providing daily home care, along with the help of a nurse, ensuring our dad is not alone and receives the care he needs.
While we have been able to manage most household expenses, the medical costs are increasing rapidly. His mobility is declining faster than expected, and in the near future, he will require 24/7 care.
We are raising funds to help cover:
A full year of physical and neurological therapy
A new wheelchair
A specialized medical bed
Ongoing and upcoming medical expenses
Every contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward improving his comfort, safety, and quality of life. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to us.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact my sister or me directly.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our dad and our family. He spent his life helping others—now it’s our turn to take care of him, and we’re deeply grateful for any support along the way. ❤️
UPDATE : Mid January Update. We have received donations directly outside of the gofund me. We are closer to 3k in total. From me, my sister and my brother thank you soo much for all of this !!!!
Currently we are awaiting for therapy sessions to begin - The Venezuelan transition is slow and people are not 100% back to providing services.
My dad fell again this past weekend, We are moving to get the wheel chair as soon as possible and a doctor is going to be heading home to do a check up. We were able to get assistance from a local non profit.
I will continue to post updates every two weeks.
