My name is Ricardo J. Castillo Navarro, and I never imagined I would have to write something like this. Today, I am asking for help as I face one of the biggest challenges of my life.

I am preparing to undergo open-heart surgery due to a serious heart condition. For more than three months, I have been unable to work because of my health. What started as medical problems quickly became a financial crisis, as bills, living expenses, and medical costs continued while my income stopped.

This journey has been physically exhausting and emotionally overwhelming. The reality of major heart surgery brings fear, uncertainty, and a long recovery period where I still will not be able to return to work right away.

I am creating this fundraiser to help cover:

• Medical expenses and surgery-related costs

• Monthly bills and basic living expenses

• Recovery needs while I heal and regain strength
