Support for My Dad's Final Wishes
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out to you during the most challenging time of our lives. My dad, a wonderful, caring, and resilient man, has been diagnosed with stage four mesothelioma. The doctors have given us the heartbreaking news that he is dying. Our family is devastated, especially since we just lost our mom to cancer on June 2nd.
My dad is only 51 years old and has two kids, myself (21) and my sibling (24). We are struggling to cope with the emotional and financial burden this situation has placed upon us.
Despite his prognosis, my dad has expressed a desire for a simple and heartfelt service. He wants to be cremated, and he dreams of a gathering where family and friends can come together to celebrate his life. He envisions a cookout at his favorite fishing spot, filled with the sounds of country music, shared stories, and moments of reflection while fishing – something he dearly loves.
To honor his wishes and ensure he is comfortable in his final days, we are seeking help to cover the costs of:
Cremation and an urn
A memorial service and the cookout
His stay at a nursing home to ensure he receives the care he needs. We are hoping to raise at least $5000 to alleviate the financial stress that has compounded our grief. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and help us focus on spending quality time with our dad during his remaining days.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We are grateful for any assistance you can provide.
With heartfelt gratitude, Alicia
