Support for My Dad’s Fight with Terminal Cancer

Hello, my name is Brooklynn, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my amazing dad.

My father is a strong, selfless, and hardworking man — the kind of person who has always shown up for others without hesitation. He’s the proud dad to three daughters: Chalise, Andriel, and myself, and the loving husband to my incredible mom, Rose, who has stood by his side through everything. He’s also a grandpa to some pretty cool grandkids who absolutely adore him — and he loves them with all his heart.

Our family was recently devastated to learn that my dad has been diagnosed with a terminal blood cancer and that is in his lymph nodes. This diagnosis has completely turned our lives upside down — emotionally, physically, and financially.

Right now, he’s in the hospital facing complications involving his kidneys and sinuses, and doctors are continuing to run tests and treat his symptoms. He is no longer able to work, and while we’re in the process of applying for disability support, we know how slow and complicated that process can be.

We’ve had so many family members, friends, and co-workers reaching out — asking how they can help and if there’s a GoFundMe. The amount of love and support people have shown means the world to us.

If you know my dad, you know he’s the one who has always taken care of everyone else. When my mom had a stroke in 2010, my dad did everything in his power to keep her alive — and because of his strength, she’s still here with us today. He’s been there for each one of his daughters during the hardest moments of our lives — never letting go, never giving up, always reminding us we’d be okay.

Now it’s our turn to be there for him.

As his daughter, it’s painful and heartbreaking to see someone so full of life, so dependable, and so strong have to go through this. But I know that he’s still fighting, and we are doing everything we can to lift him up — to make sure he knows he is not alone.
