Hello everyone, my name is Adriana. Thank you so much for taking a moment to read this.

On November 21st, my dad, who lives in Perú, underwent an urgent spine surgery. What we thought was a routine check turned into an emergency procedure, as doctors discovered he had three large hernias pressing on his spine. He was in severe pain, unable to walk or stand, and his legs had become numb. Because of how quickly everything happened, we weren’t prepared for the high medical costs of the operation.

Thankfully, the surgery went well, and he is now beginning a long recovery process. We are extremely grateful—but the financial burden has been overwhelming.

At the same time, our family is also welcoming a new baby this week, as my sister is scheduled for a C-section. Her delivery was planned, but with my dad’s unexpected operation, our family’s expenses have gone far beyond what we can manage at once.
