When our mom was first diagnosed with cancer, my dad stood next to her through appointments, scans, infusions and everything that came with it. For seven years he was her main caretaker. They used every cent of savings to extend her life. He was with her until the end, an endless support. Six months after her passing, he himself was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
Unfortunately now his cancer has metastasized to his liver and grown. He will be receiving treatments from both U of M and Corewell hospitals.
U of M is the best place that will give him and our family the best chance of beating this. UofM unfortunately is not close, and the treatments will not be cheap. In addition, he may get to a place in treatment where time off work is required to rest and recover.
It’s at this time that we ask for your prayers, and if possible, donations in order to help him get the treatment he needs.
Our dad has been incredibly courageous, strong and steadfast in fighting. He was with our mom through it all and we hope we can be there with him and our extended family to pull him through this.
Any donation is appreciated and the goal will be adjusted as needed.
Thank you so much, we love our dad so much and know those who do as well will consider donating.
Continued Hope,
Bailey and McKenzie DeLaere & Family
