My dad was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, with a tumor (Stage 3) in his mouth that has caused significant swelling. This diagnosis has brought a lot of uncertainty and worry to our family. He will need to undergo several tests, scans, and a fairly extensive surgery at OSU Wexner/James Cancer Center. After surgery, he faces 10 days of recovery and then 6 weeks of radiation treatment. The journey ahead is challenging, and we are preparing for many trips back and forth for pre-op scans, surgery, radiation, and follow-up appointments.

The financial burden of travel, meals, lodging, and additional medical expenses is starting to add up. While we are doing our best to handle most of these costs, the reality is that the expenses are more than we anticipated. Anything that is not used from this fundraiser will be donated to OSU - James Cancer Center to help others facing similar battles.

Going through something like this is never easy for anyone. My dad and mom have always been the first to offer help to others, and now they need support themselves, even though they would never ask for it.
