My dad was diagnosed with ALS on December 5th, 2023, and our lives changed overnight. I became his sole caregiver for the first year, and as his needs grew, my daughter and sister left their jobs to help care for him. The financial strain has been overwhelming. Every pay period, I have to make impossible choices about which bills to pay and which ones can wait, always hoping we don’t lose our home or cars. The uncertainty and stress weigh on us every day, but we keep going for my dad.
The money raised will help us cover essential medical expenses, like a generator for his ventilator, as well as home care and our monthly bills. With mortgage, car payments, household bills, and groceries, each month is a struggle to make ends meet. I am scared every month that we won’t have enough, and it’s getting harder to keep up. Your support would mean the world to us and help us focus on caring for my dad during this difficult time.
Taking care of my dad and trying to fulfill his last wish of passing at home with loved ones is why I still push through. It is an honor to care for a man who always did his best to care for his family. He is bed bound and on a trach/ventilator. Never think any donation is too small. We are so grateful and appreciative of you hearing our story, and even if the donation is a prayer, it’s all welcome.
