My dad is a hardworking dump‑truck driver whose life changed in an instant while he was simply doing his job. While doing his job, a young man stepped in front of his truck, ending his own life. Although there was truly nothing my dad could have done to stop it, he has carried the weight of that moment every day since.

The aftermath has been devastating in ways that go far beyond what people can see. My dad has had nightmares, relives the scene in flashes, and battles anxiety that makes even ordinary tasks feel overwhelming. As the investigation continues, he hasn’t been able to return to work, leaving him without the stability he’s always relied on. But more than anything, he’s struggling to find his footing as the investigation continues.
