On Friday morning, my father was involved in a car accident that resulted in the total loss of his only working vehicle. He suffered serious injuries, including broken ribs, hips, a lacerated eyelid, and a cracked skull. The accident has left our family facing a difficult road ahead. My dad will be out of work for at least two months as he recovers. My mother is currently in remission and unable to work, so our family is relying on a single income that has now been interrupted. We are struggling to keep up with everyday bills like the mortgage and electricity. The sudden loss of his vehicle has also made it challenging to get to important appointments and will make it difficult for him to return to work once he is healthy again.
