Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you may already know, Jeffrey Levin (my "cool", older cousin since we were kids) and his family are preparing for Jeff to have major brain surgery on Tues, 4/28, to remove a recently diagnosed tumor.

Thankfully, we have reason to be very optimistic about his long-term prognosis, however the road to recovery will be long. After several days in the hospital, Jeff will be moving to inpatient rehabilitation for 1-2 weeks and then several months of ongoing recovery and physical therapy at home. Jeff will likely be out for work for an indeterminate amount of time.

Jeff is a community acupuncturist in Oakland who has spent years helping others heal. His wife, Katy, is an elementary school teacher in the Piedmont school district, where she has made a meaningful difference for her students and families. Together, they have been such a valuable and selfless part of their local and extended communities; all the while raising two really cool kids, Audrey and Calder :)

As Jeff focuses on healing, Katy will be balancing work, caregiving, and supporting their family through this difficult time.

During Jeff’s recovery, the greatest financial strain will be the loss of income and the everyday living expenses that continue regardless—housing, utilities, groceries, and caring for their family. We want Jeff and Katy to be focused on Jeff's healing and ability to return to the profession and activities that he loves.

As such, we’re asking for your support to help ease this burden so Jeff can focus fully on his recovery. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward supporting Jeff, Katy, and their family during this time.
