On Saturday, July 11th, my 13-year-old cousin was tragically shot and killed around 8:24pm in Northeast DC. Our family is devastated by this sudden loss, and we are struggling to come to terms with the reality that his life was taken away so early. He was a bright, loving young soul whose future was stolen from him and from all of us who cared deeply for him.

We are raising funds to help cover the costs of his funeral, burial services, and the moving expenses that have become necessary as we try to find safety and healing. The support will also help us with location changes, as our family needs to relocate in the wake of this tragedy. Every contribution will ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on honoring his memory and supporting each other through this difficult time.

I am reaching out to our community for help, not only to support our family but to stand against gun violence and the senseless killings of young Black men and Black communities.
