My cousin, her husband, and their three children lost everything in a devastating house fire. We are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, but heartbreakingly, their dog and cat did not survive.

On Monday, Feb. 2, when the Chester Fire Department was dispatched to investigate reports of smoke on McGinnisberg Mountain Road

Firefighters found heavy fire conditions at both locations and immediately began suppression efforts. To make matters worse, access to the fire on McGinnisberg Mountain Road proved difficult due to an unplowed roadway, forcing some responding crews to walk to the scene on foot.
