My cousin’s car got totaled last week on the way home from work. A truck slid through a red light in the rain and smashed into the side of his car. Thankfully he walked away with only a few bruises, but the car was completely destroyed.

The hardest part is that he can’t afford another one right now. He was already working long hours just to keep up with rent and bills, and now he has no way to get to work except asking people for rides. Insurance barely covered anything because the car was older and only had basic coverage.

He’s been trying to stay positive, but it’s rough seeing someone work so hard and still end up stuck because of one accident that wasn’t even his fault. Right now he’s just hoping to save enough money to buy another cheap car so he can get back on his feet.
