My sweet, kind, and loving brother-in-law has always been the main financial support for his family. Recently, he received the devastating news that he has stage 4 small cell lung carcinoma, which has spread to his liver and bones. If you are familiar with this type of cancer, you know how rapidly it spreads. This diagnosis has turned their world upside down. He has had to quit his job, and now his days are filled with doctor’s appointments and chemotherapy treatments. My sister, who has been his rock, is also unable to work full time as she stands by his side through every step of this journey.

With both of them out of work, they are facing the very real possibility of losing their home and struggling to afford the medical care and transportation he needs. I am organizing this fundraiser to help relieve some of the financial burden so my sister can take time off work to support her husband, and so they can focus on his treatment and healing without the constant worry about bills and basic living expenses.
