My brother and mother were involved in a tragic accident on I-75 North, mile marker 188 in Monroe in Atlanta Georgia. My mother passed away at the scene, and my brother is now in the hospital, which is in a completely different state, undergoing multiple surgeries. This has turned our world upside down, me and my sister are doing everything we can to support my brother through this unimaginable time.
As an active duty military member, I am working to secure housing and stability for my brother and myself. I was just starting out, and now I need to find a place to live, a car to get us around, groceries, and gas to make sure my brother can get to school and his physical therapy appointments. My sister is currently with him in a different state hours away from her home and risking her job that she really needs. The funeral expenses for my mother are also weighing heavily on us, and we want to make sure she is honored properly while giving our brother the best chance at recovery and a new start.
I don’t normally ask for help, but I promise that anything given will go directly toward making my brother’s new life possible. He deserves none of this, and my only focus is on making things easier for him, starting with the necessities. Thank you for reading our story, and may God bless everyone who is able to help us during this difficult time.
