Support for My Bladder Cancer Recovery

For those of you that know me personally, you know that I have endeavored to seek Kingdom interest first as a youth and still endeavoring to do so at the age of 56. There have been many joys over the years of doing so of helping others come to know our Grand Creator Jehovah and his son Jesus.

Unfortunately, living in the time that we are, time and unforeseen occurrences befall us all. In July of last year, I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. The week I found out, I discovered Deon Sanders,
the former NFL star was a few months ahead of me. It was comforting
to see him on the other side of the surgery and healing from it and back to coaching. When things go well it is usually about a 3–4-month recoup time.
When there are complications, it can be up to a year. What Deon and I have gone thru is the removal of the Bladder and they make a new Bladder from part of your Intestine. So, as you can see it is a major surgery. The old way you would have to wear an outside bag on the side of you for the rest of your life. So, we are grateful for modern advancements.

So, because of having had to change jobs back in the summer, my cancer diagnoses came in between the 2 jobs. The new job I had not been there long enough to able to use the Family Leave Act. Only other provision was 3 weeks off for medical reasons. So, with the 3–4-month window to heal and recoup the company denied my request to be off for that length of time. So, my last workday was January 30, 2026. My surgery was February 2, 2026. I was terminated March 5,2026.

I am slowly recuperating but it is a process. My Bladder was more progressive than Deon's in that the Cancer was starting to go outside of the Bladder. I'm currently doing immunotherapy to be proactive and reserving on Chemotherapy and Radiation for now as these have other complications.

I have applied for Social Security Disability whether that is temporary or permanent that will up to them. Also, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. Everything is pending approval. Social Security gives me window of 200-250 days to respond, and we are heading on 3 months of not working already.

So, I am reaching out to everyone for financial assistance. In these last days everyone is dealing with something so there is no pressure. Just wanted to share my story. I'm living in Tyler, Texas now for the last 4 years in May. I attend the Tyler North Congregation.

The good news is every day we are closer to Paradise! We look forward to that time when no one will be sick or in pain, no more tears and no more death. In the meantime, may you and I stay focused on that Heavenly Kingdom that is the only hope for mankind.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you are able to give. The donations will go towards paying medical bills, keeping mortgage current, and other financial obligations until able to go back to work
or disability kicks in. The most important thing are your prayers.
