Support for 5-year-old great nephew after tragic loss of Mom

My name is Elizabeth, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. Last week, my 26-year-old niece tragically passed away in a car accident.

She and her 5-year-old son were on their usual early morning drive before sunrise, traveling in the dark on a remote farm dirt road towards their rural town. She was taking him to school and heading to work when her pickup truck overturned. Miraculously, he managed to get out of the vehicle. He bravely got out of the vehicle, fully aware that he needed to find help as darkness still surrounded him. He walked nearly a kilometer until a neighbor, driving along the road, spotted him in her headlights. Together, they returned to the scene and immediately called an ambulance and his father. Tragically, she passed away on the way to the hospital, with her husband and young son by her side.

It’s hard to put into words the impact this loss has had on our family. My niece was a devoted, hardworking wife & mother. She made sure they always felt loved, safe, and supported.

Now, with her gone, we are doing everything we can to provide that same love and stability for her son. But the truth is, we need help.
