Support for Mthu who needs life saving heart surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m fundraising on behalf of my Brother in law in Zimbabwe. He has received the news he needs urgent heart surgery following a heart attack at the age of 43. Unfortunately money is little, and the cost of the surgery and treatment will be about £15,000 including travel and accommodation. Any extra help will go a long way to helping Mthu be around for his wife and small children. He has spent his life helping others, let’s see if we can help him ☺️This is what Mthu has written about himself. ❤️❤️
❤️❤️HELP ME, MTHULISI MUKWA MOYO, GET LIFESAVING HEART TREATMENT❤️❤️
My name is Mthulisi Mukwa Moyo, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to fighting drug and substance abuse in my community of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. As a volunteer, I’ve never drawn a salary or received external funding. Instead, I’ve poured my heart into educating young people, supporting families affected by addiction, and leading awareness campaigns—driven by nothing more than a calling to serve.
But today, I find myself in need of help.
A Life-Threatening Diagnosis
I have recently been diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome, a critical heart condition caused by narrowed or blocked arteries. This condition has severely impacted my health—I struggle with even basic tasks, and the risk of a fatal heart attack is ever-present. Alongside this, I also live with Type 2 Diabetes, which compounds the danger and complexity of my condition.
Doctors have urgently recommended a life-saving procedure: angioplasty with stent placement. This will restore blood flow to my heart, reduce the risk of a fatal cardiac event, and vastly improve my quality of life. It is not optional—it is the only way to survive.
Why I’m Asking for Your Help
The treatment I need is available in India. The full cost—including return travel from Zimbabwe, visas, hospitalisation, surgery, medication, and rehabilitation—comes to £15,000. As someone who has volunteered full-time for years without a regular income, I simply cannot afford this on my own.
That’s why I’m reaching out.
How You Can Make a Difference
You can help me on this journey to healing in the following ways:
• Donate: Any amount—large or small—brings me closer to getting the treatment I urgently need.
• Share: Please spread this message through your networks, social media, churches, or organisations. Every share brings hope.
Every cent raised will go directly toward the medical and hospital costs, travel, and essential recovery support. Right now, my life truly depends on your generosity. With your help, I can get a second chance—not only to live but to return to what I love most: serving my community with renewed strength.
Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and support. Your kindness means the world to me.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Mthulisi Mukwa Moyo
