Support for Ms. Carmella
Donation protected
Ms. Carmella joined us this year at the USCAN Annual Convening in Charlotte, NC. This was her first time experiencing the network. She represented Dogwood Alliance as an impacted community member from Gloster, MS. Her community is the community that is plagued with the issue of air pollution at the hands of the Drax Amite facility, which holds the single largest fine to date. Recently Ms. Carmella’s house was burned down with her in it. Thankfully, she was able to escape but suffered significant 3rd-degree burns over her body. As we approach the holiday season, I am asking that you all keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through this
trying time. I'm also asking that we lean in as a network to help her in her time of need. If you can, please donate to Ms. Carmella to support her with housing, food, travel to doctor’s visits and actively accruing doctor bills.
