Support for Ms. Brenda

Ms. Brenda, my long-term neighbor, was hospitalized for over a week with congestive heart failure and fluid in her lungs. In addition to her mounting medical bills, Ms. Brenda is trying to raise funds to purchase a car so she can more easily attend medical appointments, help with her grandchildren's childcare, and deliver the delicious food she cooks and sells. 

Ms. Brenda is an integral part of the sense of community in our neighborhood. I will never forget the Christmas I was not able to travel to be with family due to work while my grandparent was very ill. She noticed I was alone, knocked on my door, and brought me a full plate loaded with delicious food. Her kindness affected me and provided me support at a tough time. Our love and care for each other has only grown over the last six years and it is my hope is that we can step up and provide her support when she needs it.
