This is Judy — my Grandma.

Many of you may know her as Mrs. Wertz, the beloved high school librarian who welcomed generations of students with a warm smile and a kind heart.

In February of this year, we lost my Grandpa. His passing was incredibly hard on all of us, but especially on my Grandma, who had shared a lifetime with him. Tonight, tragedy struck again — the home they built together, where they raised their children and grandchildren, was completely destroyed in a fire. Every photo, every keepsake, every piece of our family’s history is gone.

Right now, she has nothing but the clothes on her back.

If you can give anything — big or small — it would mean the world to us. Your kindness will help her start rebuilding her life from the ground up during this heartbreaking time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and God bless.
