Support for Mother's Thyroid Cancer

My Mother Jina Denue, was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer (Papillary Carcinoma). They have discovered nodules on the left lobe. So on November 11th, she will have surgery to remove the left half of her thyroid. She will need to be home and recovering for at least a week. Then a second surgery in December will be to remove a polyp from her vocal chord. With the 2 surgeries, she will miss 3 weeks of work and therefore potential wages from her extra bus runs. As many of you know she loves driving her school bus and will miss her students during that time.

Cancer not only takes a toll on one's health but also on their finances and emotional well-being. The medical bills, surgeries, all the associated costs, as well as the potential lost wages quickly add up.
