Support for Mother's Amputation Recovery

Hello, as you all see, my wonderful mother was admitted to the hospital due to an infection on her right leg. Due to her health and diabetes, they encouraged her to get her right leg amputated, or the worst would happen after 48 hours. My mother was independent before, so this new lifestyle is going to be hard for her. She is now disabled and can’t work due to her health issues. We found it hard to change up her lifestyle, but if it means for the better, then what else can we do?
