My sister Mona suffered a traumatic brain injury in 1974, and her health has been a constant challenge ever since. Over the past year and a half, Mona has been hospitalized more than 35 times with serious complications like urinary tract infections, seizures, pneumonia, and a diminished mental state. Right now, she is in the ICU at Mercy Hospital, and her doctors have told us it is time to consider hospice care. Mona has very limited life insurance and is facing a mountain of medical bills that our family simply cannot manage alone.
My greatest wish is to bring Mona home, rather than returning her to a nursing facility. With your help, we can provide hospice care at home, cover the costs of medical supplies, ambulance transportation, and caregivers, and prepare for funeral expenses when the time comes. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference for Mona and our family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
I am reaching out to our community for support, hoping that together we can give Mona the comfort and dignity she deserves in her final days. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for keeping Mona in your thoughts and prayers.
