At this time, my family is seeking help to cover the cash price for my Mom to receive cataract surgery. This is very hard for our family to ask for help but we are in need at this time to prevent my Mom from going blind.

My Mom is suffering from early signs of congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and a number of other conditions that have intensified her vision, health, and dental decline. Unfortunately, my Mom doesn't qualify for Medicare or Medicaid just yet and we cannot afford to pay the costly premium for her to have marketplace or private insurance. We've been trying to work towards disability but it has been a very slow and expensive process with providers especially considering we have to pay for everything out of pocket and she has more bad days that good days and care gets compromised with each issue.

We've handled it through now but we need some extra help as cataract surgery is considered elective and they will not take payment plans. Why are we asking...2025 was a difficult year for our family as I had a planned surgery with a high out of pocket and my son had an unplanned surgery with a high out of pocket, we are still working through these expenses between the hospital, provides and time out of work... We have not been able to catch up to pull the funding together to get her scheduled. But her condition is becoming more serious!
