My mother has faced an incredibly challenging journey over the past few months. After being diagnosed with kidney cancer, doctors initially planned to remove her entire kidney. Instead, they opted for a more complex surgery to remove just the cancerous part, which was risky due to its location. During the procedure, they accidentally cut into her bowels, but this went unnoticed for four days. She went into septic shock and doctors discovered a severe infection, including a fungus infestation growing in her intestines. She spent nearly two months in the hospital fighting to recover from these complications.
After finally being released, she bravely returned to work, but less than a month later, she faced more complications and was hospitalized again for another week. The hospital delayed her return-to-work order, causing her to miss nearly two additional weeks of pay. On top of everything, her car—which she relies on for work and medical appointments—was left at her workplace and now needs critical repairs, including a new starter and back brakes.
The funds raised will go directly toward helping her cover her mortgage payment and the urgent car repairs she needs to maintain her independence and stability. Any excess funds over the goal will help with smaller car repairs, groceries, future medical necessities and peace of mind for the future. Thank you everyone in advance for your kindness and support during this difficult time. Any help you can give means the world to our family.
