Our family is reaching out for support during a very difficult time.

Our mother has always been the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Throughout her life, she has cared for many people - including family members during times of illness and hardship. She helped care for her brother, supported her husband during his illness, and has always been someone others could count on when they needed compassion, encouragement, or a helping hand.

Today, she is the one who needs help.

Now in her early 70s and living on a fixed income, she recently underwent an above-the-knee amputation after a severe infection and circulation complications. While we are incredibly grateful that the surgery was successful and that she is still with us, she now faces a long and challenging road to recovery.

She will need rehabilitation, mobility equipment, and eventually a prosthetic leg so she can regain as much independence as possible. Even with insurance, many of these medical and recovery needs can become costly over time.

Our family is doing everything we can to support her, and we are hoping to get ahead of the upcoming expenses associated with her recovery and long-term mobility needs.
