My mother’s health has declined rapidly, and she is now at home with Hospice care. The doctors have told us she has very little time left—just 24 to 48 hours. I am doing everything I can to make sure she is comfortable and surrounded by love in her final moments. My sister Rebecca has been her primary caregiver for over six years, showing incredible dedication and love every single day. Together, we want to ensure that our mom has the funeral she deserves, one that honors her life and the impact she’s had on everyone around her.

During this time, both Rebecca and I have chosen to stay by our mother’s side. We are both facing lost income as we care for her and plan her funeral. Despite these challenges, our priority is to be with our mom and give her the dignity and care she deserves in her final days.
