Support for Mom's Cancer Recovery Journey

Hello everybody!

So nobody ever wants to have to ask for help, but sometimes we have to when life throws us curve balls. My mom is such a wonderful human being and doesn’t deserve to have to go through all of what life has thrown at her the last couple of years. Back in May 2022, my mom’s house got hit by a tornado and they had struggled with insurance and banks to get loans to get a new house built. Well, they finally have it up. It’s not finished, but they can live in it at least.

On top of all of the struggles and stress along with other health issues since that has happened, in January of this year she had gotten the opportunity to go to the Mayo Clinic to get checked out and they found out that she has stage 2 cancer. Specifically, Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. Since then she has gone through 4 chemo treatments and multiple trips to Rochester for treatment and testing. Luckily with her last PET scan, they had found that her cancer is gone. Unfortunately, she still has a lot of treatment she still has to get done. On July 7th, she’ll have to go to the Mayo in Rochester again and go under a week of testing and if that goes well she has to undergo a stem cell transplant which means she’ll have to be in Rochester anywhere from 6-8 weeks pending on her recovery.

As we all know this can be a huge financial hit. My mom isn’t the person to ask for help financially. She’s always worked and even worked multiple jobs raising me and my siblings. She wants to work even now but is too sick to do so along with needing to be gone for treatment.

I hate seeing her so stressed about the financial side of things when she should be able to just focus on her health. I know times are tough so I understand if you can’t donate but anything will help.
