My heart aches as I share my mother's struggle with Multiple Myeloma cancer. This is a battle that began in November of 2017 when she was diagnosed with this awful horrifying disease. During these months of her cancer diagnosis she had undergone months of chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant. While living in the hospital for a few months. About a year later in 2018 she went into remission for 6 years which is totally amazing. Now back in march of 2025 my mom started to feel very fatigue, weak, feverish and unable to eat, with lots of bruises and sores on her body. So she was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. So when the doctors at the hospital evaluated her and saw her blood work it showed a lot of abnormalities such as her RBC, which stands for red blood cell count, and her platelets were extremely low and that’s not a good sign. So the doctor told her you better go follow up with your oncologist. So she did just that and he brought her into the hospital and underwent two bone marrow biopsies in March and May of 2025. The sad news starts again and that was when my mom was diagnosed on May 2nd 2025 with MDS which stands for Myelodysplastic syndrome which is also a new type of blood cancer already on top of the multiple myeloma she already has. She does also have spurts of leukemia in her body. Her body had grown so weak that she stopped eating, and could barely move. When she arrived at the hospital, her hemoglobin level was dangerously low at a level 6. She had been given her first of many blood transfusions as well as her platelets. Her hemoglobin rose to 6.7 after the first blood transfusion which is still too low. The doctors had to do another transfusion on may 24 hemoglobin reached 6.9 but it still wasn’t enough. And will have to undergo one once a month. I am her only child at home and her caregiver. as working full time job. With no one else to lean on, the burden is too heavy for me alone. Every day, her condition is slowly trying to get better but there is no CURE. I am begging for help. Even a small donation could mean the world to us and give my mom a real chance to fight back. If you can’t donate, please share our story with your friends and family. Your support, kind words, and prayers can bring hope in our darkest hours. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
