Support for Momma’s Final Journey Home

While begging her whole team of doctors and several hospitals to find out what was wrong with her for the last year and a half... Small Cell Lung Cancer was taking over her body & nobody told us!!
I told her when this journey started only a few short months ago that she was the "big dawg" on the yard and that we would all do whatever she wanted no matter what!!
After her first round of radiation and chemo she was admitted back into the hospital for further treatment with a plan of discharge to a rehabilitation facility where she could get stronger!! As I sat staring in her eyes a few days ago, witnessing the agonizing pain overcoming her body in that moment - she tells me - "I don't wanna be here anymore, I wanna go home" as she flings her arms in the air!! Knowing she is tired, I utter Momma you know the only way we can get you home with the care you need is hospice... her eyes got big as she says "I know" completely crushed in that moment, I had to step away to gather myself as I had been so strong in her presence until then!! When I come back to her side she looks at me and says "well, you said I'm the big dawg" - this was all she needed to say for me to know that not only did she understand what she was asking me for but that's what she wanted!! & even though this was the last thing I had ever wanted - I knew that the way I felt didn't matter!! I had to do what she was asking. So we have begun preparation to bring her home. She will be coming home today, 04/20/26.

Yesterday, as I visited, I wanted to take some of her worries off of her so I asked her Momma, is there anything you're worried about right now? Is there anything that is weighing on you that I can help you with? She looked at me and said "well, I don't have any insurance" - I said what do you mean as it didn't quite click & she said "insurance for cremation" I quickly told her not to worry about any of that & that we would make sure it was taken care of!!

She paid on a life insurance policy for 25 years & when her bank was bought out by another bank she never thought to have the bank account information changed for her policy & by the time we realized it, it was too late & they wouldn't allow her to keep it so she has a lot of shame associated with that subject!!

Throughout all of her years on this earth, she has touch the lives of soooo many. From taking care of numerous foster children, to feeding random people off the streets. If you knew her, you knew her door would ALWAYS be open whether you needed a place to lay your head, something in your stomach, or something to put on your back - she would find a way to help!!

I have always said one day I will find a way to give her everything she deserves but my time is running short & unfortunately I will never be able to give her that so please I am asking for all of her friends & family to come together and help take this worry from her!! It would be so amazing to be able to show her not only is it taken care of but by all of the people she has loved so dearly in her lifetime.

Please donate if you can - it would mean sooo sooo much to her ♡ anything helps
