On March 11th, my mom and sister were involved in a devastating accident when an 18-wheeler tried to merge into their lane without noticing their car. The impact forced them to lose control, crash into a highway railing, and total the car. The driver of the 18-wheeler slowed down but never stopped, and the police are treating it as a hit and run. Both my mom and sister were rushed to the hospital, and our lives changed in an instant.

Since the accident, my mom has been in the ICU, intubated, and has already undergone five surgeries for a shattered pelvis, a hole in her colon, and a femur that was pushed up into her pelvis. She faces a long road to recovery, including physical therapy and more unknown treatments after she is discharged. My sister suffered a fractured face, as well as injuries to her arm, shoulder, and hip. She will need to see a plastic surgeon for her face and is currently managing a lot of pain.

My youngest sister and I have been by their side in the hospital, missing work and doing everything we can to support them. The medical bills, therapy costs, and lost income are overwhelming, and we are reaching out for help.
