Hi, my name is Tami and I am starting this fundraiser for a girl who is like a daughter to me and she needs our support. Her 16 year old son was shot in the chest on 12/7/23 and is now in ICU on life support, fighting for his life. This tragic event happened while at his father's home and we do not have any further details, other than he was shot by another family member, who is also a child. This family is going through so much and Christmas is right around the corner. Ellie has five children and is spending her time now at the hospital instead of at work to support her family. And we all know that things happen and our life can change in the blink of an eye, but the bills don't stop unfortunately. At this time, this family needs our help. If you could please donate, anything helps as it all adds up and if you can't please help spread the word by sharing, we would appreciate it very much. This boy has a long road of recovery and mom needs our help while they are facing numerous physical, emotional and financial challenges so let's help mom as much as we can. Prayers for David are also appreciated. Thank you all!
UPDATE 12/11/23: Thank God the prayers are working and he is breathing on his own. He went through another surgery and they removed the bullet that was embedded in his spinal cord. However, as of now the spine surgeon says he most likely may never walk again. Please continue to share this fundraiser. Mom needs us more than ever right now! Thank you to all who have already donated. Your support is much appreciated.
UPDATE 12/18/23: Thankfully David has been moved from ICU. He has already been through multiple surgeries and told he will most likely never walk again, but by the grace of God he is still here with us! We are hoping he will be moved to the spinal rehabilitation center which is an hour from home. Mom is looking into getting an air Bnb for a month so she can be right down the road from him, as he doesn’t want to be alone. Let’s share this and see if we can help mom make this wish come true. Thank you all for your donations, shares & most of all prayers!
UPDATE 12/21/23: David is being moved to a rehabilitation center in Cleveland and he has a long road ahead of him BUT he is still here with us and that is the most important thing. His pneumonia has improved and he’s stable enough to transport to the rehabilitation center where he will most likely be for a few months so that he can learn his balance to use a wheelchair and become more independent. Your generous donations and prayers are much appreciated. As you can imagine he will be needing a motorized wheelchair and moms gonna need a wheelchair accessible van so I would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this Go Fund Me so we can try to make that happen! Thank you all.
