Support for MOM and 4 daughters during Husband ICE detention

Donation protected
My name is Marina and my husband Igor Botezatu was detained by ICE at the end of March 2026 and is now held in custody. He was eligible for bond but was denied due to cash sponsor not being a blood relative (we don't have blood relatives who are citizens and over 18 years old), we filed for motion to reconsider explaining that sponsor is a close friend and were denied again. According to my search the denial is illegal and the judge violated due process. Now we are appealing, but it will take a few months (3 to 6 months).

I also filed writ of habeas in Federal District Court and it was unlawfully denied. I don't even know if justice exists anymore.

I do know one thing. What is happening to by husband is illegal as he does not have to be in detention and this whole situation is destroying our family and everything we worked for all these years is almost gone.

Igor came to the US from Moldova more than 10 years ago. He was authorized to legally work and remain in the United States. Since 2016 Igor is a professional driver who drove over 1 million safe miles across the country contributing to the US economy. He has clean driving and criminal records.

My husband is the sole provider for our family of six. We have 4 beautiful daughters, ages 6, 4, 2, and 6 months. Until the day of his arrest, I was a stay-at-home mom taking care of 3 children while one was in school.

Now our lives are falling apart. The kids lost their father, and there were only two of us taking care of them. I'm trying to work out a way of making money, but I'm not sure how fast it will happen considering daycare costs. So far I have 4 kids at home with me on summer break.

The kids lives felt apart: they lost hobbies they loved, lost all the activities they used to enjoy and probably will lose access to the school they've attended.

It is scary how life can just change in one day and rent becomes your primary expense. I have to ask local nonprofits and organizations for help but their abilities are limited.

We need money to not be left out on the street and be able to pay bills, rent , car, phone and utilities.

The legal battle is far from over and we need money to be able to continue the fight to get him out. And cost of it is unbelievably high.

But when you don't have money for food, you obviously cannot afford legal fees.

We don’t have relatives here, and I have nowhere to ask but the community. I am not asking for myself; I am begging on behalf of the innocent children that never deserved this.
Please help.
