Our family’s world was turned upside down after a devastating car accident on April 18th in Hot Springs, Arkansas, following prom. My 17-year-old sister, Molly, was in the vehicle with five other young adults. The crash was severe, and five of the six passengers—including Molly—were ejected at high speed. Molly is currently in critical condition. She has suffered a traumatic brain injury, a punctured lung, a dislocated hip, a fractured pelvis, another fractured hip, and multiple hairline fractures in her lower back. Her body is also covered in lacerations and bruising from the impact. She is currently in an induced coma to help manage swelling and pressure on her brain.

Despite the severity of her injuries, Molly is showing incredible strength. She is progressing better and faster than the trauma team initially expected given the circumstances of the accident. We are holding onto hope and are so grateful for every small sign of improvement—she is truly fighting hard.
