Missy, my niece, was diagnosed a few years ago with a rare and incurable lung disease called Bronchiolitis obliterans. Her husband and children have been her primary caregivers, doing everything they can to support her through this difficult journey. Despite their dedication, they are not eligible for any government help or resources, which has made daily life a constant challenge. Help is needed for everyday living expenses to maintain their home and cover basic needs. The hope is that, with enough generosity, Missy could be seen at the Mayo Clinic, where specialists might offer life-saving developments not yet explored. However, traveling to the Mayo Clinic would require help for lodgings and travel, in addition to monthly expenses to maintain their home.
