It is with heavy hearts that my sister Lisa Acton-Smith and I share, on behalf of our eldest sister, Melissa (Missy) Redmond, the sudden passing of her husband and our brother-in-law, Michael Redmond Sr.

Mike was tragically lost on Jan 22, 2026, leaving behind his devoted wife, Missy, of 24 years, whom he loved with all his heart. He was the love of her life. They shared a fierce and strong love.

While trying to heal, Missy faces immense emotional stress and a sudden financial burden that is overwhelming. We are raising funds to help our sister, Mike’s grieving widow, cope with this immense loss. Donations will help with the funeral service and burial, allowing her to focus on grieving, as well as to assist her with living expenses as she is unable to work due to debilitating migraines and other health struggles.

He served his community through his employment with the Conway County Road Department, driving a dump truck for nearly 15 years. He took immense pride in his occupation and in providing a living for himself and Missy.

We will all miss his presence at Sunday dinners with extended family, funny stories, hunting excursions, watching him read the room, drawing others in, and commanding their undivided attention as he talked. The farm will miss him. The church will miss him. Missy’s life and ours will never be the same.

These are the words of Missy, “I miss this ‘ole boy so bad! My heart is forever broken. I thank God that he allowed me 24 plus years with my Mike Sr. We’ve been through so much together and I’m forever grateful to have loved him for all these years. I’m just lost without him! All I have left of him now are the memories, the assurance that he loved me with all his heart, and photographs and videos to remember him, and I will forever hold him in my heart!”

We know Missy and all of the family are heavy on the minds of so many during this difficult time. We solicit your prayers mostly and know God will comfort and provide strength for the days to come.
