Support for India Through MissionOxygen
There is a split scenario unfolding as the world battles the pandemic. In countries like the United States and the United Kingdom jubilant newly-vaccinated people hug their loved ones after a long period of separation, while in India distraught families count their dead with the daily death count in the thousands.
Just in Hyderabad and Bangalore they are projecting to have 20,000 death by mid-May (400 official and 1,000 unreported per day). Cremation grounds are running 24xt7. The Indian Government is looking to buy 10,000 body bags. Sick people are being turned away from hospitals that have run out of beds and oxygen, as the number of new cases rise to record levels each day, creating a national crisis with global repercussions.
"If we don't help in India, I worry about an explosion of cases" around the world, said Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of the Brown University School of Public Health.
India needs all the help we can provide. Mission Oxygen (https://www.missionoxygen.org)is helping hospitals in India save lives by procuring oxygen. With your help, we have set a goal of raising $10,000 that will be used to help pay for oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, and any other medical equipment needed by the Government of India.
All funds donated will be sent to MissionOxygen.
