Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to read my description. I am making this GoFundMe to help me pay off the debt I have accumulated from my pet cat Miso’s urinary blockage that he experienced this last November/December.
A few days before Thanksgiving, I noticed that he was avoiding using the litter box and producing very little urine/abnormal behavior. I took him to emergencies to check on why this was happening, which was the first emergency trip. As of that moment, he was not blocked and was simply sent home with a new diet and medication. The day after Thanksgiving, he completely blocked, and I had to take him in again to emergencies. This time, he had to be hospitalized, and I was quoted the massive amount of $7k for this treatment. A few hours into his hospitalization, he removed his U-Cath, and the vets opted to send him home since he did urinate on his own. Since the full treatment wasn’t given, I was partially refunded for this trip. We went home with the same medication and diet, but the following week he had a partial block due to a mucus plug. Another emergency trip was taken, and I thought that it was the end of it, but I was wrong. The following week, he blocked again, but this time I took him to another emergency vet. They did the entire treatment again, but this time for the entire 48 hours that is required for a urinary blockage, quoting me again $5k. It has now been 3 weeks, and he has thankfully made a full recovery with no urine complications as all of the crystals were flushed out in the final 48-hour treatment. I would do anything for my cat, and evidently, I did, but now I am dealing with the hardship of paying off all of the emergency vet bills. My credit score has been affected tremendously the past month due to the charges, and I am in desperate need of support. As a side note, I am pursuing my teaching credential this upcoming Spring, which adds to my financial stress. I am asking for economic support from anyone who loves cats or simply has some spare change to support me. I am confident that better financial times are coming, but my credit score that I worked so hard for has taken a tremendous hit. Thank you again for reading. Miso sends you all love!
