Miriam De Lara Flores has been the heart of our restaurant for the past 10 years, serving as our Sous Chef and a friend to everyone on the team. Last Saturday, after closing the restaurant, Miriam’s car broke down on the highway. While waiting for help, she and a Good Samaritan were struck by a speeding drunk driver. Miriam suffered multiple facial fractures, lacerations, and a fractured knee. She now faces a long road to recovery, including upcoming facial surgery, and is unable to work during this difficult time.

Miriam is the kindest, sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. She’s always the first to lend a hand, working tirelessly for the entire team and making everyone feel welcome. Her absence is deeply felt by all of us, and we want to rally around her the way she’s always supported us.

We’re raising funds to help cover Miriam’s medical bills and living expenses while she recovers. She has an appointment with a facial surgeon soon, and we expect more information about her treatment plan in the coming days. Any support you can offer will help Miriam focus on healing and remind her how much she means to our community.
