My dad, Min Cho, came to this country with nothing and built something for his family. For over 20 years, he's run Krohs Cleaners in Bel Air, MD, not just as a business, but as a part of the neighborhood. He even knows his customers by name.
In January, he suffered a C3-C4 spinal injury and his life entirely changed. My dad became quadriplegic. I don't have the words to describe what that was like for our family, for a man who has never stopped moving, never stopped working, never asked anyone for a single thing.
But if you know my dad, you know he didn't quit. He had spinal fusion surgery, spent months in inpatient rehab pushing himself every single day, and now he's doing outpatient therapy at Kennedy Krieger. He still visits his shop to greet customers and keep it flowing. He's made immense progress and he is actually starting to walk again. Watching him fight for every step has been one of the most inspiring things I've ever witnessed.
However, the medical bills have been crushing. Although the first to give, my dad is the last person on earth who would ask for help.
If you can donate, thank you. Every dollar goes straight to his medical care, his therapy, and getting him back on his feet. And if you can't, sharing this page still means the world to us.
Thank you for loving him the way Bel Air always has.
