Hey family and friends, my friend's daughter is in the hospital with burns after falling into a fire pit. The fire was only coals covered by wet wood over it, but was still hot, causing burns to her extremities. Luckily she didn't sustain any burns to her face or torso. The burns cover 20-25% with 13% being 2nd to 3rd degree burns. They have been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and it will be a few more weeks since she undergo surgery/ skin graphs in a few days. She is in high spirits for what is going on. The family qualified for the Firefighters for Healing so they have temp housing for the rest of their family. Major things they are conserned about is meals to help out with the other 4 kids, child care, and financial help. A mealtrain will be set up as well to help with food, but for the financial part we ask to please help donate whatever you can. This is a military family as both parents are National Guard and both parents are volunteer Firefighters. Anything helps.
