On Friday evening, our community was shaken by a devastating auto collision just outside our gates. Two of our residents were involved, and both were rushed to the hospital. Mildred Sein Cooke, who was the passenger, suffered the most severe injuries. The impact from the truck that struck their car was tremendous, leaving Mildred in critical condition. She is currently in the ICU, in a medically induced coma, intubated, and facing the prospect of back surgery.
Mildred’s family is by her side, but the road ahead will be long and difficult. She will be unable to work for some time, and the financial strain of ongoing medical care, living expenses, lot rent, car payments, and utilities is overwhelming. As a community, we have always come together in times of need, and now is one of those moments.
We are asking for your support to help ease the burden on Mildred and her family during this incredibly challenging time. Even the smallest contribution can make a world of difference. If you were planning on helping someone in need this season, please consider supporting Mildred. Your kindness and generosity will help her focus on healing and remind her that she is not alone. Thank you for keeping Mildred and her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers, and for rallying around our community when it’s needed most.
