On Sunday, March 9th, we had to say goodbye to Mike, who was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. A little over two weeks ago, Mike's son-in-law, Derek Parsons, passed away unexpectedly. The expenses are adding up very quickly in order to give Derek and Mike the proper burial. Any funds donated will go directly to Roxanne Williams, his wife of 40 years.

Here is a little backstory on Mike.

Mike grew up in Chico and Oklahoma. He served two tours in Vietnam and took great pride in being a veteran and having served our country. While working 30 years in a lumber mill, he only took 3 days of sick time, often working 6 days a week and overtime to provide for his family.

Nine years ago, Mike had a heart attack and was told he didn't have much time left due to heart failure. Once his first granddaughter, Emilia, was born, that all changed. Mike's heart became healthy, going on daily walks and being very involved in every aspect of his granddaughter's life. A few short years later, his second granddaughter, Charlotte, was born. The walks continued every day up until recently when a fall broke his hip. We believe the trauma from the broken hip impacted his heart. His life revolved around his family.
