We are reaching out on behalf of our family as we face a difficult and uncertain time. Mikela has been hospitalized at Upstate University Hospital for the past two weeks, and this marks her 7th hospital stay in just six months. Mikela has been battling chronic illness, including undergoing two laparoscopic surgeries to remove ovarian masses. During one of these surgeries, she was diagnosed with advanced-stage endometriosis.

Though we hope Mikela will be able to undergo a full hysterectomy at the end of this month, we are still uncertain about when she will be able to return home. Each hospital stay has left her unable to work.
