My brother in law Mike Wrazen is such a loving and wonderful person who had his world turn upside down this past January. Mike and Jill are high school sweethearts and have been by each other's side for over 20 years and have a beautiful little girl, Gabriella.
Mike was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in January 2020. He is under the care of a team of doctors at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and started chemo this past February. Mike has been through 15 rigorous treatments of Folfirnox that were showing overall progress. Folfirnox combination chemo is a very tough chemo. Mike was often exhausted and unfortunately has permanent neuropathy in his hands and feet from the Folfirnox.
Sadly his latest scan this past September shows that the Folfirnox is no longer working for him. His tumor is back to the size it was before treatment, his liver lesions have increased in size as well as new liver lesions. His abdominal lymph nodes are enlarged and have increased. Unfortunately Mike does not qualify for another clinical treatment. His cancer diagnosis has put tremendous stress on him, his family and thier 6 year old daughter. Gabby sees the changes in her Daddy and he is unable to play with her like he used to due to his excruciating pain and exhaustion. The family holds on together everyday as Mike continues to battle his devastating Pancreatic Cancer! It is the family's faith, love and strength that keeps him bravely fighting Pancreatic Cancer everyday.
The warrior that Mike is, he has been working through his excruciating pain and chemo treatments so he can provide for his family. But the time has come for him to stay home, fight the fight ahead of him and be with his family. Medical bills are rising and he could use your support in any way.
