Hello, my name is Joshua Pattillo, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family during an incredibly difficult time. My father‑in‑law, Mike Sloan, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife, Laurie Sloan, three adult children, and ten grandchildren.

The initial explanation we were given was that Mike’s accident was caused by a pothole in the road; however, the evidence we’ve seen does not align with that account, and our family is seeking clarity.

To honor Mike properly and to give our family clarity and closure, we are arranging for a full autopsy as well as transportation of Mike between facilities so he can be brought home with dignity. Unfortunately, we are now faced with significant expenses we were not prepared for, which must be paid upfront.

We’re asking for support from friends, extended family, and anyone in the community who feels moved to help. Every contribution—no matter the amount—helps lighten the burden and allows us to focus on grieving, supporting one another, and celebrating Mike’s life. While we expect the funds to be fully used for the autopsy, if there are any funds remaining, we plan to put these toward other similar expenses such as funeral costs.
