Michael "Mike" LaFrance is a true military hero and a cherished friend. He served in the Security Forces in the Air Force, always putting others first and offering a helping hand to those in need. In November 2025, Mike faced a life-changing challenge when a severe blood infection led to months in the ICU. Despite receiving the best medical care, he lost parts of his fingers and toes due to necrosis, similar to frostbite. This has left him unable to continue his military service or work, and he now relies on disability to support his family.

Mike's strength and resilience are matched only by his love for his family. He is a devoted husband to his wife of over 15 years and a wonderful father to his two children, ages 7 and 4. The family has been further tested as his youngest son was diagnosed with a tumor inside his right eye and is currently undergoing extensive treatment. The emotional and financial strain has been immense, but Mike continues to inspire those around him with his caring heart and unwavering spirit.
