Support for Mike D'Agostino's Cancer Fight

My name is Wendy O’Brien and I am fundraising to support my friend Katy D'Agostino and her husband, Mike D'Agostino while he fights a battle no one should ever have to fight.

Mike discovered a lump on his neck in June. After a series of tests, they found out it was neck cancer. In August he had surgery to remove a cancerous tonsil also found and to take biopsies from the inside of his mouth. The neck tumor is too big to surgically remove and could cause nerve damage to his neck and shoulder.

Mike is currently undergoing 6 and a half weeks of radiation 5 days a week and 1 day of chemotherapy every week. Doctors are hopeful that this treatment will get rid of the tumor. He is currently getting treatment at Lipson Cancer Institute at Rochester General Hospital.

The cost of fighting this horrific battle is staggering. Mike is still currently working for a few hours here and there when he can but is unable to do all of his normal duties and Katy working part-time as well as being Mike's caregiver and Mom to their 3 children cannot pick up the slack and do this alone, nor should she have to. Funds will help to cover day-to-day bills, uninsured medical expenses, co-pays, groceries, gas for numerous trips to the hospital, parking, and any other unforeseen needs, etc.

Let's all do what we can to help ease this burden for them so they can focus on healing and kicking this monster's A**.
